Sous Chef - Luxury Resort, Bora Bora

About the role

Four Seasons Bora Bora is looking for a Sous Chef to report to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef and manage the kitchen service and teams. The position is based on the private island resort in French Polynesia, on a permanent full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare, produce and serve dishes
• Ensure quality, taste, quantity and presentation of every dish leaving the kitchen
• Check stock levels while respecting food hygiene and safety standards
• Handle orders and requisitions
• Supervise assigned staff, from scheduling and training to disciplinary matters and annual reviews
• Work with other resort managers to meet guest expectations

Required profile

• Significant experience in a similar position, ideally in luxury hospitality
• Solid management skills
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability
• Permit to work required for non-nationals; residence permit required for non-Europeans

Required skills

• Good knowledge of French and international cooking techniques
• Good knowledge of HACCP food hygiene and safety
